Areo ("we", "our", or "us"), developed by BoldScap, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
We minimize data collection and prioritize your privacy. Areo operates primarily offline, with limited third-party services described below.
We use PostHog to collect usage data to improve app performance and usability. PostHog assigns a randomly generated anonymous device identifier to correlate events from the same device. We do not submit your name, email, or any personally identifiable information to PostHog. All data collected is used solely for internal product analytics. See PostHog's Privacy Policy.
We use the Meta App Events SDK (by Meta Platforms, Inc.) to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns. This SDK automatically collects and transmits to Meta's servers:
If you grant tracking permission via the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt, your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA) is also shared with Meta to enable personalised ad delivery and cross-app measurement. If you decline, only privacy-preserving, aggregated attribution data via Apple's SKAdNetwork is used — no IDFA is transmitted.
Subscription status is managed by RevenueCat, Inc. RevenueCat receives your anonymised App Store receipt data solely to verify and manage your subscription entitlement. RevenueCat does not receive your payment details. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Your drawings, measurements, units, and area calculations are stored only on your device using local storage. We do not upload, access, or share this data externally.
